  •  Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge in Gapan City (N.E.)  

    Reynato M. Lotuaco Jr. ("Jun")  was installed as Worshipful Master of the General Llanera Memorial Lodge in Gapan City on Janury 30, 2010. Jun's installation was the 48th induction into office as "Worshipful Master" (or President) of the Lodge. History: The General Llanera Memorial Lodge is a masonic lodge in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija (Philippines) that was constituted by the Grand Lodge of the Philippines in 1963. The Gapan Lodge performs services for the community and the Lodge members.

    The Lodge was named in honor of Mariano Llanera, a noted general in the Revolutionary Government headed by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo. He is remembered for having led the first "cry" (call for revolt) of Nueva Ecija,  on September 2, 1896, against the tyranny of the Spaniards against the Filipinos. Gen. Llanera was the Venerable Master of the "Masonic Triangle Centeno No. 82" that was established in Cabiao, Nueva Ecija (Philippines) during the Spanish regime. Notable Freemasons who played significant roles in the Philippines' struggle against the Spanish, American and Japanese occupations; Jose Rizal (National Hero), Marcelo del Pilar (general during the Spanish war), Apolinario Mabini ("brains of the revolution"), Andres Bonifacio (Katipunan leader), Emilio Aguinaldo (1st president of the Philippines), Manuel Quezon (Philippine president) and Manuel Roxas  (Philippine president).   •  Rotary Club's Service Above Self Awardees  

    Baltazara Lotuaco and husband Denys Collins were recipients of the Rotary Club's highest honor given to individual Rotarians from around the world. The award recognizes Rotarians who have demonstrated exemplary humanitarian service, with emphasis on personal volunteer efforts and active involvement in helping others through the Rotary. Baltazara and Denys have been involved for many years with the medical missions to the Philippines. Baltazara received the award last May 2009 and Denys in 2005.
